Genome Engineering Production Group

Technologies such as TAL effector nucleases (TALENs) and the CRISPR/Cas system are opening doors to many new avenues of research by facilitating introduction of specific engineered changes in cells or whole organisms.

The Genome Engineering Production Group (GEPG) provides researchers with easy, low cost access to custom reagents for genome engineering.

We offer advice on engineering projects, as well as design, synthesis and sequence verification of custom TALEN constructs and CRISPR gRNA constructs.  We are able to handle both small-scale and large-scale projects.

In the future, we hope to expand services to other areas in order to facilitate additional TAL or CRISPR-based approaches and help eliminate common bottlenecks, such as building of donor constructs for ‘knock-in’ mutations.

We gratefully acknowledge start-up support provided by the HMS Tools & Technology program.
