Enriching for genomic targets of interest

 Daniel Herman, in the Seidman lab, has developed a strategy to capture and enrich specific genomic regions using filter bound PCR fragments as “sub-genomic traps”.   Using the new strategy for sub-genomic capture, they conducted sequence and copy number variation analysis of a region of the genome implicated in cardiovascular disease. Their report was published in the 21 June issue of Nature Methods (online publication date).
