Would you like to TA for Genetics 201 in the fall of 2009?

The instructors for Genetics 201 have up to 10 positions available every year for Teaching Assistants. The workload is relatively modest, but includes attending lecture, running about 8 sections, assisting with the composition of problem sets and exams, and grading of problem sets and exams. In addition, because the work is distributed among the TAs, the work is fairly flexible, allowing us to accomodate TAs who are taking the qualifying exams in the fall.

Overall, it is an excellent opportunity to become familiar with the operation of a large course, and to hone teaching skills in the settings of your sections. If you have additional questions, please don't hesitate to contact Fred Winston or your TA. If you are interested in this opportunity, contact Fred Winston.
